Paris: Supports of French socialist candidate Francois Hollande have been celebrating victory in the country’s presidential election.
According to media reports, Hollande polled just under 52% of votes in Sunday’s run-off election.
Nicolas Sarkozy is the first French president not to win a second term since 1981, according to BBC.
