Kohistan: At least 15 passengers were killed and 21 others injured when a passenger coach travelling from Rawalpindi to Skardu met with an accident in Kohistan District of Pakistan Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa province.
Police sources said on Thursday that the accident took place at Kozmila area when a passenger, coach carrying 37 passengers onboard, fell into a deep ravine, killing 15 people including two women and three children.
Khalid Khan Umarzai, the administrator of Hazara division, said that the driver of the coach lost control at a bend due to fast speed.
Police and local residents rushed at the site and shifted the injured and bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital.
The sources said that 19 security personnel were also among the passengers. Six of the security personnel travelling in the bus lost their lives.
