He doesn’t need any introduction. Apart from his rocking and outstanding academic performance, he has initiated a project Step up Pakistan that focuses on different aspects of education like providing assistance to students, training teachers and improving education in backward areas, and about bringing a change in the overall education system. While talking to The News Tribe (TNT), he was like:
TNT: Tell something about Step up Pakistan project. What is the response and feedback on this project?
Ali: Step up Pakistan is an initiative by the youth for the youth. Step up Pakistan has a number of rolling projects at the moment. The Dost Campaign, Khudi, Taiz Tareen, Such, Taleem and Milkyway, all have different initiatives. ‘Khudi’ focuses on key projects of Step up Pakistan, ‘Roshni’, focuses on e-learning content, ‘Taiz Tareen‘ focuses on e and digital assets of Step up Pakistan, ‘Milky Way’ is about youth and ‘Dost’ is the counseling part of Step up Pakistan.
TNT: What is the main aim and objective of this program?
Ali: Step up Pakistan aims at bringing reform to Pakistan through social entrepreneurship and education. Its main focus is to involve the youth in bringing solutions to the problems of youth.
TNT Say a few lines on current education system that we have.
Ali: Our education system is divided between the public and private system of education. The private sector is doing well but the fees are very high. The public sector on the other hand lacks infrastructure, facilities, competent teachers etc. It would be more helpful if more budget is allocated for education by the government and authorities.
TNT: Being a student do you think we have any loopholes in our education system, if yes what are these?
Ali: Like I said above, we lack good, motivational and inspiring teachers. We lack enough opportunities for students to compete locally and globally. We have some of the most intelligent students in Pakistan, but they do not know how to express their energies.
TNT: As a student, what is your dream and what change would you love to bring in?
Ali: I dream that Allah makes me able to do something good and something new for the world. I want to change the education system and the leadership for Pakistan.
TNT: What is quality of a good education for you?
Ali: Good education is a well balanced curriculum and something that is fun and useful at the same time.
TNT: What would you suggest to students?
Ali: I would suggest them to follow their dreams and go for them. No one can stop you from getting and achieving what you wish for.
TNT: What is your message to readers?
Ali: Keep working hard. Perseverance is the key. Respect yourself and others.
