Fortaleza, Brazil: Constructed in 1989, Insano is the world’s highest water slide with a height of 41 meters, located in a water park near Brazilian city of Fortaleza.
What makes the slide more dangerous—and attractive—is the steepness of its slope. Sliding through it is really like jumping down from a tall building.
The park officially states the slide as “the most extreme equipment of this type on the planet”.
Apparently, the whole decent takes just 4 to 5 seconds but during that time you can reach speeds of up to 105 km/h. That’s as fast as a Ferrari. And if weren’t the pool at the end of the slide, one might tear into pieces if they touched the ground.
Due to its steepness, toddlers and people with special needs are not allowed to use the slide. Moreover, the park administration also does not allow anybody to slide in any other position than the classic.
So be ready for sliding if you have a very strong stomach, because you would have butterflies in it if you don’t have one.
