Washington: United States (US) State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nuland On Wednesday said that US Special envoy to Pak-Afghanistan Marc Grossman is visiting Pakistan in order to discuss Pakistan’s Parliamentary Committee of National Security (PCNS) recommendations.
Giving a briefing to media at State Department Nuland said that Grossman would hold negotiations with Pakistani leadership in order to improve ties between the two nations.
“Pakistan’s visit is a chance to build-up relationship between the two countries,” she said.
Nuland further said that the special envoy would also scrutinize steps taken by Pakistan in order to improve the ties.
It is to be mentioned here that Grossman arrived Pakistan on Wednesday (today) after a long period as the relationship between the two nations were undergoing crisis after a Nato air strike on Salala check-post in Pakistan.
