Dhaka: Bangladesh Cricket Board Thursday officially informed Pakistan that their team could not visit Pakistan in current situation.
Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zakar Ashraf said that Bangladesh’s court decision was disappointed, adding that they had made all the security arrangements for the tour.
“Few forces were trying to halt Bangladesh from touring Pakistan,” he said.
Earlier, the Dhaka High Court stayed the decision of sending Bangladesh Cricket team to Pakistan for four weeks.
Two-member bench of the high court comprising Justice Sheikh Hasan Arif and Justice Farid Ahmad heard the writ petition, filed by a Supreme Court lawyer Kamal Hossin Miazi and a private university teacher Khandakar Didar-Us Salam, and remarked that Bangladesh team could not visit Pakistan for four weeks.
The BD cricket team is scheduled to visit Pakistan this month to play a T20 and one-day match against Pakistan on April 29-30.
