Karachi: Aimed at discussing the issue of malnutrition in Pakistan and highlighting the needs of micro-nutrients and multivitamins in daily lives, Pfizer Pakistan is organizing a medical symposium on the World Health Day – April 7, 2012.
The moot will underline the needs of various micronutrients that are important for ageing healthily as well as to raise awareness on this key health issue. This year’s topic for the World Health Day is ‘Ageing and Health’ with the theme of ‘Good health adds life to years’.
This day will also mark the launch of Pfizer Pakistan’s HealthEssentials portfolio, which includes a bouquet of leading and globally trusted multivitamin supplements. Amongst these are brands which have been present in the local market for decades and have garnered reliability and trust from healthcare professionals and patients alike. All these brands are innovatively researched to meet the specific needs of vital nutrients that we may lack at different stages of life.
Leading healthcare professionals in different specialized fields like pediatrics, gynecology and nutrition will be speaking at this event about the importance of meeting daily nutrient and vitamin needs. The event will also feature a short-talk by the Vice President of the Pakistan Nutrition and Dietetic Society, Fayza Khan.
