Karachi: Showing somehow softening stance on Balochistan insurgency, leading Baloch Separatist leader Gazain Murri has linked solution of Balochistan problem to withdrawal of military troops from the largest province of Pakistan.
“Pakistan Muslim League leader Nawaz Sharif considers Balochistan a lifeline of the country and If someone talk about the dialogue, he (Nawaz) is the one to whom dialogues could be made,” he said in an interview with a newspaper.
Gazain was of view that if people of Punjab province could protest on load-shedding and unemployment, then Baloch people could protest on military atrocities too.
“United States is benefitting from Balochistan issue as there is no unity among our ranks,” he noted.
“We are not agents of Russian and Indian intelligence agencies but we are only demanding our rights,” he said firmly to a query.
“We have no complain to security forces because they are trained to solve problems by force, but it is disappointment to see criminal silence of political forces on the issue who never raise problems of the province.”
Gazain admitted that the Baloch nation had no power to wage in war against a powerful and strong military.
“But the Baloch nation has been compelled to take up arms and now nobody wants to talk anything less than freedom of Balochistan.”
He said that the president Asif Ali Zardari was limited to his presidency and he had no solution for Balochistan.
“If issues of Balochistan was settled mutually before killings and undermining of Baloch leaders and their self respect was not hurt, the situation would not have been bad today.”
