Karachi: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday announced that the time period of day and night will be equal on March 21 (tomorrow).
The met department said that the time period of day and night would be equal twice in the year, first on March 21 and the second time on September 21 adding that the longest day of the year would be on June 21 and the longest night would be on December 22.
“The summer season will also commence from tomorrow,” the department added.
According to experts the earth completes its revolution around the sun on March 20 and reaches at the point where it started its journey.
It is to be mentioned here that the festival of Nowruz is celebrated in Afghanistan, Iran and Greece on the occasion when the earth completes its revolution around sun.
