Islamabad: Mansoor Ijaz has said that the memo was written to escape Swiss cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.
He said that if the memo proved to be a reality it could bring dangerous consequences for the president. Ijaz said that he would speak truth and Zardari would have no reply.
He was talking to media before appearing memogate commission in London Pakistan High Commission.
He said that memo case had profound link with Swiss cases and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani was trying to save his boss.
Ijaz claimed that Zardari was giving instructions to Hussain Haqqani, then US ambassador to US, and he would do his best to prove that.
Later, he appeared in London High Commission while the probe commission was connected through video link from Islamabad. Zahaid Bukhari, lawyer of Haqqani was cross examining before he exchanged heated arguments with the commission members.
Commission took break after the argument. Media reports said that Hussain Haqqani has convened a meeting of his lawyers as he has decided to end cooperation with the commission.
Some media reports said Zahid Bukhari has refused to appear before the commission. He said he was humiliated by the commission.
