Mumbai: India have named Virat Kohli as vice-captain for the team in the Asia Cup which would be held onMarch in Bangladesh.
India’s selectors have included Sachin Tendulkar for the Asia Cup while dropped out-of-form Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan and Umesh Yadav from a 14-man squad.
The national selectors, however, did not make wholesale changes in the squad that performed miserably in the ongoing triangular series and preceding Test series in Australia by retaining many of the players, like Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina, who struggled throughout the tour.
Yusuf Pathan and Ashok Dinda also include in the squad.
