Mirpur: Dhaka Gladiators have reached into final of Bangladesh Premier League after beating Khulna Royal Bengals by nine runs in semi-final at Mirpur here on Tuesday.
Pakistan players helped Dhaka Gladiators to qualify in the final. Great batting performance by Azhar Mehmood, Imran Nazir and Shahid Afridi facilitated their team to set a target of 191 runs in just 20 overs.
During the bating boom boom Afridi hits 107 Meter high shot which was tournament’s highest six.
On a response, Khulna Royal Bengals made 182 runs and failed to achieve the target. Bangladesh bowler Elias Sunny picked up three wickets while Saeed Ajmal and Shahid Afridi took one wicket each.
Dhaka Gladiators will face Barisal Burners who defeated Duronto Rajshahi by eight wickets. The final will be played between the two teams on Wednesday.
