Karachi: Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wasan on Monday summoned the office bearers of All Pakistan Oil Tankers Owners Association (Apotoa) regarding their strike which had suspended the supply of oil and petroleum products across Pakistan.
The Apotoa on Monday called for a strike and abandoned the supply of oil and petroleum products across Pakistan against the disputes on the transportation of edible oil as the deadline of 72 hours lapsed.
The chairman Apotoa, Yousuf Shahwani said that we had demanded government to take notice of the injustice with the Edible Oil Tankers within 72 hours but government failed to do so and now we had suspended the supply of oil and petroleum products for indefinite period.
Shahwani further said that supply of oil to the airports across country would be abandoned due to the strike call by association. The suspension in supply had caused hike in the prices of oil and ghee products.
