Hyderabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate for Sindh Assembly seat PS-53 Tando Muhammad Khan subjected female polling staff to sever torture after polling ended in the area.
Media reports said, Wahida Shah accused the polling staff of helping her rival. However, correspondents say the PPP candidate was wrangling with polling staff at different polling booths on one pretext or other. They said she also pressed the staff for allowing her supporters to vote despite the polling time ended.
TV footage showed the PPP candidate slapped young and elderly female staff despite the presence of a senior police officer.
