London: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Wednesday said that the Afghan government was confused over the negotiations going on between United States and the Taliban in Qatar.
Talking to a British newspaper at in London, Khar said that Afghan President Hamid Karzai should clear his position on the peace talks that whether he wanted the talks in Qatar or not. “If Karzai government will not support the peace talks then Pakistan will do the same,” she added.
Khar said that Pakistan would not create any hindrances in the Qatar peace talks but supporting an ambiguous cause would be dangerous and would wait until Afghan government declared its policy regarding the talks.
Khar said that parliament would take decision regarding the revival of relations with US and it would proceed after the report of parliamentarian committee adding that Pakistani officials did not know where Mulla Omar was.
