The sources said that the bomb was planted by local militant group.
“It was a planted bomb and was detonated when the anti-militiamen reached a private checkpoint” run by the militants, who had deserted the checkpoint, Mumtaz told AFP.
Sources said that the security forces cordoned off the area and started search operation.
Pakistani security forces have been battling in the tribal region against Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) led anti-sate actors since 2008.
