Lahore: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting , Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday said government of Pakistan condemned the resolution tabled in the US Congress regarding the Balochistan issue and it was an intervention in the domestic matters of Pakistan.
Addressing a ceremony at Private College, Awan said that government would safeguard Pakistan’s territory from external threats.
Awan said that the parliament would decide regarding the restoration of Nato supply routes and only containers having books for Afghan children were allowed to travel through Pakistan. “The suggestions of Parliamentary Committee on National Security regarding the reforms in the relationship between Pakistan and US will be completely implemented,” Awan added.
The minister said that she would not discuss the issue of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani contempt case as the matter was sub-judice. “President Asif Ali Zardari enjoys complete immunity and the trial of the martyr’s grave will not be permitted,” she added.
Speaking about the 2012-2013 budget Awan said that reforms would be introduced and the budget would emphasize mainly on the problems of the poor people.
She said that government had given priority to end the load shedding problem and soon good news would be given to the people of Pakistan.
