Islamabad: Iranian President Mehmud Ahmadinejad on Thursday called on President Asif Ali Zardari here at President House, Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar said.
He said both the presidents were agreed to expand cooperation to counter terrorism, human trafficking and smuggling.
The spokesman said that both the dignitaries were agreed to make system to stop mishaps at the border. “President Zardari told Ahmadinejad that his visit would help both the countries to extend their cooperation,” he added.
“Pakistan is playing good role to bring pace in the region,” Ahmadinejad said.
Prior to this Ahmadinejad arrived Islamabad to attend Trilateral Summit of Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan.
The Trilateral summit is amid at promoting regional cooperation and strengthening peace and stability between the three countries.
