Karachi: At least three women were injured and four others were left unconscious as police threw shells of tear-gas on the protest rally of Lady Health Workers carried-out from Press Club to Governor House , here on Wednesday.
The lady health workers carried out a protest rally which started from Karachi Press Club demanding for their permanent status and six month’s salary.
The police tried to stop lady workers from going towards Governor House and fired tear gas to disperse them. Almost five lady workers were arrested by police.
The lady workers again gathered at Press Club and demanded that they would continue their sit-in at the Press Club until their demands are met.
