Islamabad: United States Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter on Thursday revealed that supplies for NATO and US forces in Afghanistan were continue through airspace of Pakistan
Talking to journalists after a function here Munter revealed that despite closing down NATO Supply routes by Pakistan following the Salala attack, supplies for the US and NATO forces were continue through air spaces of Pakistan.
He said that US had strong ties with Pakistan which were strengthening with each passing days. He said that US had the realization of Pakistan’s energy crisis, adding that it extended several million dollars aid to Pakistan for easing out the energy crisis.
He reiterated US stance that Salala attack was unintentional, underlining the need for evolving mechanism to avoid such attack in future.
To a question regarding the expected debate in Pakistani Parliament over Pakistan’s future terms of engagement with US and NATO, he said that US welcomed the debate.
