Lahore: Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly, Raja Riaz on Monday claimed that the pharmaceutical factory, which collapsed following a boiler blast on Monday in Lahore, was allowed to operate in the residential area illegally on the directives of Hamza Shahbaz, son of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Talking to media Riaz said that earlier the factory had been sealed for illegally operating in residential area but Hamza Shahbaz directed the authorities to allow the factory owner to operate in the residential area.
He held Hamza Shahbaz responsible for the casualties in the boiler blast.
He criticized Shahbaz Sharif and said that he had failed deliver and overcome the problems. “He has no concern regarding the deaths of people,” Riaz added.
