He singed the agreement at a ceremony held at Shalimar Cricket Ground, Margallah Road, F-6/3 here on Monday.
In 2012, he will monitor the impact of UNODC work in Pakistan and will highlight the need to curb drug use and associated crime.
He will take part in a range of activities, such as youth cricket tournament, the International Day against Drug Users and promote knowledge about drug and HIV/AIDS issues.
Talking during the ceremony, Afridi said that he would help create public awareness and support for UNODC global programmes aimed at drug demand reduction and drug dependence treatment and care.
To a query regarding captaincy of national team, Afridi categorically stated that he would never become captain of the team, saying “I had already been made scapegoat and would not become so anymore’.
