Karachi: Former president of Pakistan Pervaiz Musharraf finally has decided to cancel his arrival to the country, sources said on Friday.
The decision was taken in party’s core committee meeting held in Dubai. All Pakistan Muslim League leader Barrister Saif has said that the committee has forced the party chairman (Musharraf) to cancel his visit, though he is not happy over the decision but he accepted.
Earlier on January 8, the former president had announced that he will come to Pakistan not for himself, but to bring happiness to the masses and solidarity to the country.
Just after the announcement government had hinted to arrest Pervez Musharaf and federal interior minister Rehman Malik told parliament “I assure this house that if he lands in Pakistan, he will be arrested because he is a PO (proclaimed offender).
