Adeliade: The blustering innings of veteran Ricky Ponting and skipper Michael Clarke supported Australia to make a huge total of 604 and declared their innings with 3 wickets to spare in fourth test match against India at Adelaide here on Wednesday.
The Indian bowler seemed to fail in front of Ponting and Clarke as they played shots all over the ground and reached a milestone of double tons as they made 221 and 210, respectively.
Other batsmen including Haddin, Harris, Mike Hussy and Ed Cowan also chipped in and helped Australia to score over 600 runs.
Ravichandran Ashwin was the best bowler for India taking 3 wickets for 194 runs while Omesh Yadav and Zaheer Khan took two wickets for 96 and one for 136, respectively.
At stumps on the second day of the fourth Test India was 2-61, with Tendulkar on 12 and Gautam Gambhir 30.
