New York: The Google-owned video hosting site, YouTube is streaming 4 billion online videos every day, a 25 percent increase in the past eight months, according to the company.
The company posted this on its blog page and announced that YouTube now receives 4 billion video views per day.
That’s equivalent to 46,300 video clips being fired up every second, and it’s up 25% on the figure announced eight months ago. Indeed, as Google notes, it means that on average more than half of the world’s population watches one YouTube video per day.
The post further said that in 2007 the company started at six hours, then in 2010 we were at 24 hours, then 35, then 48, and now 60 hours of video every minute, an increase of more than 30 per cent in the last eight months. In other words, you’re uploading one hour of video to YouTube every second.
