Las Vegas: On the first day of CES 2012 in Las Vegas, Sony introduced four new Xperia smartphone.
The Sony Xperia S is the first smartphone launched without Ericsson branding and is also the first dual-core Xperia smartphone. It’s powered by a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor and an amazing 4.3 inch Mobile Bravia touch-screen that runs at a resolution of 1280*720p.
It features a 4.3-inch reality display with mobile Bravia engine technology, running a resolution of 1280 x 720; a 1.5GHz dual core processor handles processing; and storage in the form of 32GB of internal flash.
The Xperia S also features a 12MP rear facing camera capable of 1080p recording – able to take photos within 1.5 seconds after coming out of standby mode. It features a Near field communications (NFC) chip, and DLNA for HD content sharing.
Other models unveiled include the Xperia Ion, Sony’s first LTE-capable smartphone; and the Xperia NX and Xperia arco HD – smartphones aimed at the Japanese domestic market.
