Karachi: Afghanistan and the combat forces in the war-torn country are now feeling the heat of Pakistan’s decision to cut Nato supplies in reaction to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s raid in Mohmand Agency that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers last month.
Sources said that Afghan government has specified patrol quota for officials and police, besides restricting movement of security forces through transport.
The sources said that Nato has also stopped patrol supplies to the high rank government officials.
They said that diesel prices in Harrat province have raised by 100 percent, adding that the diesel is smuggled from Iran while Iran government also provides diesel quota to Afghan dignitaries living along its borders.
They said that the country was also facing food shortage due to supplies blockade. The sources added that the Nato has also cut ration for officers of the Afghan National Army.
