Toronto: LuluviseĀ is a first women website it connects though other networking websites Linkedin and Facebook. Since its launch Wednesday, it already has 1,000 users in 69 countries.
Luluvise is a private social and communications platform dedicated to young women and their best friends. It allows young women to hand pick their closest friends and create a private network of girlfriends they actually care about.
Female friendship is all about chatting, sharing, gossiping, shopping, supporting each other, and giving advice (even if it hasn’t been asked for!). With its unique features, the Luluvise platform streamlines āgirl timeā activities to safely re-create the patterns of close female friendship. All of this is targeted to the most expressive and communicative demographic online: women, who generate more than 70% of the messaging activity on Facebook, spend 35% more time on social networks than men, and drive 80% of all consumer spending.
A 30-year-old Canadian woman and creator Alexandra Chong said, “Luluvise uses Facebook to make registration easier. We do not post to walls or make Luluvise information public anywhere or to other Facebook users.”
More than 500 men submitted their emails to get access to the site, but instead received an email reading: “Hey Dude, you’re a dude.”
However sources said it was moderately much easy for men to get access on it. All they need to do is set up a fake Facebook profile as a woman, and make friends with themselves on that social network.
