Rawalpindi: The Pakistan Army has said that Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani was misquoted by a section of media regarding his statement about the Pakistan Air Force role during Nato attack on Salala checkpost in Mohmand Agency.
According to a statement issued here on Friday by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief had said in his statement that there was no mistake of the PAF, adding that had the PAF reached, there would have been more effective response to the Nato attack.
The statement noted that situation in the army headquarters was vague as communication system of the Salala checkpost had destroyed during the attack.
