Half-century by opener Virender Sehwag had put India on course for a victory in the third Test after spinners Pragyan Ojha and Ravichandran Ashwin ripped through the tourists’ batting line-up.
Ojha claimed a career-best six for 47 while Ashwin took the other four wickets as West Indies, having scored 590 in their first innings, crashed to 134 all out before lunch.
The match that swung in the favour of either team on several occasions, a draw seemed a fair result after West Indies fought back hard to claim five wickets in the final session.
The performances of Darren Bravo and Kirk Edwards with the bat would help the windies in the ODI series.
