Islamabad: Federal government on Wednesday issued a notification of appointment of four new judges in Supreme Court (SC).
According to notification, Justice Ejaz Afzal, Justice Chaudhry Ejaz Ahmad, Justice Athar Saeed and Justice Gulzar Ahmad have been appointed.
It is to be mention that that four posts of judges in SC had fallen vacant following the retirement of Justice Javed Iqbal, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmad, Justice MA Shahid Siddiqui and adhoc judge Justice Ghulam Rabbani.
Judicial Commission recommended 4 names to parliamentary committee in this connection. President Asif Ali Zardari had given final approval on Tuesday.
