Karachi: Former district nazims of Sukkar, Shikarpur, Ghotki and Kashmor have announced their support for public meeting of former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Ghotki scheduled on November 27.
Sources said that Ali Muhammad Mehr, former Sindh Chief Minister and single independent National Assembly Member from Sindh, has also announced his support for Qureshi’s rally.
Qureshi, who is also a spiritual leader in Multan has a large number of his followers in Sindh. He parted his ways with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and also announced to resign from the NA on Monday during a press briefing outside the Parliament House Islamabad.
There have been speculations on Qureshi would join the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
