Islamabad: Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr. Asim Hussain has said that gas shortage would be crucial during first quarter next year therefore supply to industries and gas station would be shut down for three day a week in winter.
Addressing a press conference on Sunday, Dr. Asim said survey and design work on Pak-Iran gas pipeline have been completed, adding that gas shortage would be overcome in early next year.
“200mmcdf more gas is expected from domestic sources which would help to overcome shortage during winter,”he said.
Meanwhile, the All Pakistan CNG Association announced to launch a campaign along with the opposition against increased gas breaks in the country.
