Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has rejected the statement of fast bowler Muhammad Amir in which he blamed the board for not apprising him of anti-corruption law.
In a statement issued here on Friday, the PCB said that Amir had signed the central contract on March 2010 and all the description was mentioned in the contract.
The PCB said the Urdu translation of the content was also provided to the players.
The board had given a lecture about the anti-corruption laws during the Under-19 World Cup and informed the players about the sensitivity of the matter, the statement added
Amir on Friday told the UK court that the PCB never imparted necessary knowledge about the laws.
