Washington: US State Department spokeswoman has said that Afghanistan needs immense support of Pakistan to extend reconciliation process and Pakistan has to isolate those Taliban who can support reconciliation and dialogues process.
Victoria Nuland replying to a question during a press briefing regarding the report of Washington Post said that the US and Afghanistan have clear stance that Pakistan has to fully support to succeed reconciliation process in Afghanistan.
The report, published in Washington Post, claimed that US has decided in its reviewed strategy for Afghanistan to tender main role Pakistan so that peaceful political solution of long lasting conflict could be achieved.
The US and others allied forces have declared withdrawal from Afghanistan till 2014 and they want to handover all security matters to Afghanistan police and embassies.
She did not deny the Washington Post’ report during briefing, adding that, we support reconciliation process headed by Afghanis, she added that everyone is supporting dialogues in current circumstances.
