Srinagar: Srinagar Supreme Court ordered to release four Pakistanis detained in a jail in the disputed Kashmir between Pakistan and India for 45 year.
The court also issued orders to make arrangements for their return to Pakistan as well.
All of them had been arrested during Indo-Pak 1965 war and thrown behind bars as prisoners of war.
The apex court of Srinagar divisional bench comprising Justice Pisth Soom and Justice Jisti Chilmshor conducted hearing of the case of four Pakistani prisoners namely Sakhi Muhammad, Bhagga Khan, Barkat Hussain and Alam Sabir detained in Jammu and Kashmir prison for 45 years.
Indian Army had arrested many people during war and handed them over to police. Some of them were released after some time but the aforesaid ill-fated were kept in dungeon.
