PM Gilani visited flood-hit Sanghar, but his helicopter landed in a sugar mill, 20 kilometers from the city, left thousands of people waiting for government assistance. Hundreds are still trapped in the city and localities, suffering from starvation and facing deadly diseases and mosquito torment. Situation in other cities is not different. There is no visible change in the areas visited by the PM, so there is no decline in agonies of the people.
Dengue mosquito is killing humans in Punjab, but here in flood-affected areas of Sindh, deadly mosquitoes are not only killing and tormenting humans but killing domestic animals as well. Where is the Sindh administration? Its meetings are on and on and on…
What about relief activities carried out by Sindhi nationalist parties? Have you really seen such efforts anywhere in flood-hit areas? I think they just make hue and cry over petty issues but unfortunately they have failed to deliver, and failed to establish even a single charitable organization/institution, or even a relief/rescue wing within their parties, to help Sindhi brethren in such testing times. Few nationalist parties, these days, will probably be doing so, but as a whole, neither such groups would do so nor they are capable of, they just enjoy politicking. Those who have often been abused by Sindhi nationalists (Punjabi politicians, Nawaz Shairf, Shahbaz Sharif and religious groups) are assisting flood-hit people of Sindh today. But our nationalists are at the height of apathy, enjoying politicking. Am I right?
Sindh demands relief not photo session and dirty politics.
