Karachi: The load shedding duration is feared to reach by 10 hours duration as the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has suspended 220 mega watts gas supply to Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) over non-payment of Rs 28 billion.
SSGC spokesman said that a valve of gas supply was suspended following which the Korangi Units of KESC confirmed the suspension of gas supply, which would affect the production of 220 Mega Watt.
KESC spokesman feared the duration of load shedding would be increased by 10 hours while the industrial consumer would be provided uninterrupted supply.
