Islamabad: Fatima Bhutto, niece of former prime minister Pakistan Benazir Bhutto, has said that she would never take part in elections as she denounced hereditary politics, by terming it great peril for the democracy in Pakistan.
Talking to the official television of China during an exclusive interview , daughter of slain Murtaza Bhutto said that the ancestral politics in the country is just like a monarchy , which could never be compared with the democracy as both systems are negation of each other.
“In the royal system, all the powers revolve around a single person whereas in democracy, the will of the people is supreme. There is a big difference in participation of people in decision making and imposing cruel and harsh policies”, she added.
The grand daughter of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto reiterated her resolve that she would never ever contest any elections. Fatima said that she has not been afraid of death but feel sorry for the Pakistani nation , which are adopting the way to face every violence with silence and do not make protest for their rights.
