Islamabad: Jamiat Ulma-e-Isla (F) Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has said that Karachi unrest must be tackled seriously.
While talking to media persons outside Parliament House in Islamabad on Thursday, he said that if a foreign hand was involved in disturbing law and order situation in the metropolis, it is government’s responsibility to remove that hand.
The JUI-F chief said that if all the provinces fulfill their responsibilities under the 18th constitutional amendment, there wasn’t any harm in creating new provinces.
He said creation of new provinces is a constitutional matter, but it would have to be seen whether all provinces are discharging their responsibilities as per the 18th amendment. Utilization of resources for public welfare should be each province’s priority, he said.
