Muzaffarabad: At least 16 people died of Gastro in various urban and rural areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
In urban and rural parts of AJK, at least 16 people died of Gastro while thousands others are seriously affected by the epidemic.
Most of deaths were caused by unavailability and shortage of proper medicines in rural areas.
In different private and public hospitals of District Muzaffarabad, almost two thousand patients are taken on daily basis from which many are in critical condition.
Other districts of AJK, including Huncha, Sidhnuti, Haweeli, Bagh, Neelum, and Huttian, are also affected by the epidemic but the authorities concerned are constantly silent in this connection.
