A powerful earthquake has hit Tokyo, frightening residents into coming out of their homes and running to safer places, a foreign news agency reported. The quake was recorded at 6.4 at the Richter Scale. No loss of life has yet been reported by officials.
Japan has been hit by multiple quakes this year. A devastating quake and tsunami hit the country on March 11 early this year, killing hundreds of people and flattening scores of residential, industrial and commercial buildings.
