Mastung: A bomb blast ripped through Pakistan’s western province’s western district of Mastung on Friday, leaving at least two people dead and several others injured, local officials said.The explosion took place in a football ground where inauguration ceremony of a football tournament was being held. Mir Siraj Raisani, brother of Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani, was the chief guest of the ceremony.
At least 20 people including the son of Mir Siraj Raisani, Mir AKmal Raisani, received injuries in the incident and rushed to CMH for treatment while the chief guest remained unhurt in the incident.
Later, Mir Akmal Raisani, 14, succumbed to his injuries during treatment in the Combined Military Hospital.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospital for treatment. According to rescue sources the number of casualties may increase as some of the injured were said to be in serious condition.
Law enforcing agencies have cordoned off the area and started search operation to arrest the persons involved behind the explosion.
No one has yet claimed the responsibility of the blast.
