Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced 16-members squad for upcoming Zimbabwe tour.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday Chief Selector PCB Mohsin Hassan Khan said, the squad comprised Misbah Ul Haq (Captain), Sarfaraz Shah (Wicket Keeper), Muhammad Hafeez, Azhar Ali,Taufiq Umer, Ramiz Raja (Junior), Adnan Akmal, Asad Shafique, Younis Khan, Aizaz Cheema, Saeed Ajmal, Sohail Khan, Sohail Tanveer and Imran Farhat. He said Wahab Riaz, Abdur Rehman and Umer Gul have been rested.
Pakistan team will play three one-day internationals two twenty-20 and a Test match during the tour.
Speaking on the occasion, Khan said that selection of former captain Shoib Malik was linked to his fitness. He added that juniors have also been given an opportunity along with seniors so that their capabilities be examined.
Khan said that the squad has been selected after consultation with PCB chairman Ejaz Butt and coach Waqar Younis.
