Karachi: Pakistan on Thursday released 14 Indian fishermen detained in Malir Jail Karachi, as part of trust building measures that both the estranged neighbours are under taking after resumption of peace talks.
The fisherman was given Indian currency and other gifts after their release and were sent to Lahore. They would be handed over to Indian authorities at Wahga border Lahore.
Earlier on Wednesday, India released 91 Pakistani prisoners at the time when foreign ministers of both the countries met in New Delhi for peace talks.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar also met Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and invited him to visit Pakistan, which the latter accepted.
