Additional Secretary Sindh Waseem Ahmed said that notification in this regard has also been issued. And the ban would continue till any further order.
In the latest shooting incidents seven people were shot dead in separate areas, reaching the death toll to 22 within 24 hours.
At the same time when the ban on pillion riding was being ordered, three people were gunned down seven people were gunned down Karimabad.
Three people were gunned in Karimabad, two in Gulshan and two in Orangi Town.
The ban on pillion riding has been imposed in Karachi following the raising target killing incidents and worst law and order situation in the metropolis.
Journalists, minor children, elderly men and women will remain out of the ban.
This is the second time Sindh government banned pillion riding in Pakistan’s financial hub. Earlier in the month government took the same decision over the same law and order situation.
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has said that the ban was imposed in very tough situation. He said that save the lives of public was government’s utmost priority.
He said that miscreants come on bikes to disturb law and order situation of the city.
