A lady mountaineer from Iran died as she fell from the peak of K-2 Mountain. The mountaineer had attempted to climb the second highest mountain in the world.
Every year several mountaineers try to climb the mountain.
K-2 with a peak elevation of 8,611 m (28,251 feet) is the world’s second highest mountain in the world. K2 is part of the Karakoram Range, and is located on the border between Gilgit, in Gilgit-Baltistan of Pakistan-administered Kashmir and the Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County of Xinjiang, China
