Lahore: Wrongly administered injections deteriorated the health of some 20 women in a government hospital in Pakistan’s western province late on Sunday.
According to reports, paramedical staff of Lady Aitcheson Hospital, Lahore administered expiry date injections namely ’Calamox’ that turned the condition of the affected women serious, The News Tribe correspondent reported.
Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr Shafughta said that the injections provided by the Punjab Health Department were spoilt.
She said condition of all the affected women were out of danger after giving them treatment in the ICU of the hospital.
Punjab government officials said that action would be taken against relevant company after tests of the injections.
