Thimphu: Pakistan has urged South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) to form combined task force to eliminate piracy.
Speaking at a SAARC meeting for interior ministers, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik also called for setting up Inter-religious commission of SARC countries to spread harmony among the people of the region.
While counting the efforts against terrorism, the minister said Pakistan paid heavy cost after 9/11 attacks as more than 35000 people sacrificed their lives in the war against terrorism.
Mr Malik said that 7485 blast occurred in the country during last 10 years.“The terrorists could not weaken our determination in fighting menace of terrorism” he added.
