Cape Canaveral: Atlantis has touched down for the final time Thursday.
This ends the last mission to the International Space Station and closing NASA’s 30-year space shuttle program.
The shuttle landed safely at Kennedy Space Center with its four-member crew at 5:56 am (0956 GMT). This marks the end to U.S human space exploration era. U.S will now have to rely on Russia for its future space program.
The first shuttle flight to space left on April 12, 1981. the Atlantis will now be kept in international museum of California along with the Discovery and Endeavour.
